The Under 9/Under 10
Field

Field Facts:
- The field is 50 yards (150') wide and 80 yards (240')
long.
- The end lines are called Goal Lines.
- The side lines are called Touch Lines. The Touch
Lines have to be longer than the Goal Lines (the field
can not be square). A ball touching any part of the
line is considered to be still in play.
- The smaller rectangular area in front of the goal is
called the Goal Area. Goal Kicks are taken from
anywhere within the Goal Area.
- The larger rectangular area in front of the goal is
called the Penalty Area. The Keeper can use her
hands anywhere within the Penalty Area and Goal Area.
- Between the Goal Area and edge of the Penalty Area is the
Penalty Mark, from which Penalty Kicks are taken.
- The Arc at the top of the Penalty Area is called the
Penalty Arc. If a Penalty Kick is taken, all
players, except the kicker and keeper, have to be outside
the Penalty Area and outside the Penalty Arc. They
also have to be behind the Penalty Mark.
- In the corners of the field are Corner Arcs. Corner
Kicks are taken from within this area.
- The Goals are 7' high by 21' wide.
- The Center Circle indicates how far back the opponents
have to be back on the Kick Off.
- The Midfield Line mark the dividing point between our end
of the field and the opponents end of the field.
